Purina® Pets for People™ helps pets and pet owners suffering in the wake of catastrophic events. For example‚ in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita‚ Purina donated nearly 200 tons of Purina® brand dog and cat foods and litter to various organizations‚ animal clinics and relief agencies. Purina made additional cash donations to the Red Cross and other disaster relief teams.
In a major disaster, our likely first response is to partner with a nationally recognized rescue agency. This information will be posted on Purina.com. If your animal welfare organization has been impacted by a natural disaster or emergency and the information on our site does not pertain to your organization, you may submit a donation request. We will contact you if we feel we can be of assistance.
